Experiment Generator - Teacher Notes

Rationale:

The purpose of this activity is to promote critical thinking and create greater awareness of ethical considerations. This activity also helps students to scaffold the process of designing their own experiments.

Students will be able to apply the 3 R’s to hypothetical experiments. Students will also be able to design their own experiment and develop their own rationale.

Success Criteria:

Students will demonstrate their own understanding of the impact of the 3 R’s on their own experiment.

Assessment Strategies:

Formative Assessment:

- Students can present their scenario and answers in written form or as a presentation or class discussion.
- Participation in the activity and answers are necessary

Criteria:
- Students will be required to fully participate in the activity and complete the worksheet provided.
- Students will need to provided/present their work as determined by the teacher.
